At GreatWay Roofing, we pride ourselves on being the most reliable Southern California / Ventura County roofing contractor and on providing each customer with excellent workmanship and customer service. These are the people who make it happen.
Rodney Menzel – President & Founder
Rod is the founder and co-owner of GreatWay Roofing, Inc. Construction has been in Rod’s family for many years, beginning with his grandfather, who was a licensed contractor. Rod graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in both Finance and Real Estate. After graduating, Rod went to work in retail banking and quickly moved up the ladder to ultimately hold the title of Vice President. He left banking to pursue a dream of owning his own company. This dream became a reality when he founded this company, then called Great American Roofing & Waterproofing. Rod’s day-to-day responsibilities include managing the sales team, overseeing all company financials, strategic planning and building and maintaining vendor and customer relationships. Rod’s primary goal in growing the Southern California / Ventura County roofing company is to ensure customer satisfaction by adding value and providing exceptional service.
Michelle Menzel – Marketing & Public Relations
Michelle is a co-owner with her husband, Rod. She is responsible for marketing, public relations and special projects for the company. Michelle left the corporate arena in 2001 to work with her husband in their business after 10 years in the marketing field working for such companies as Sizzler International, Kinko’s and Technicolor. Michelle graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge in 1993. Michelle’s primary goal is to effectively market and advertise GreatWay Roofing. Secondarily, she provides the sales staff with marketing and collateral materials that better inform our customers of our services.
Martin Saeger – Production Manager
Martin is responsible for overseeing all operations in the field as well as scheduling all jobs and ordering materials. Martin’s primary focus is on customer service, making each customer a raving fan of our company and maintaining GreatWay in the position of being the most reliable Southern California / Ventura County roofing contractor. He does this by remaining in contact with each customer before, during and after each job to provide updates, answer any questions and make sure the customer is completely satisfied.
Matt Saeger – Sales Manager
Matthew’s primary responsibility is to service our residential and commercial clients by providing thorough roof inspections and professional recommendations to meet their needs. Matthew’s dynamic and engaging personality is a real bonus to GreatWay customers, who genuinely enjoy working with him. He takes the extra effort to ensure their job runs smoothly and finishes on time.
Tony Padilla – Field Superintendent
Tony is responsible for assisting Martin in making sure the needs of our customers and crew are met. In addition, he is responsible for crew safety, coordinating shop materials as well as troubleshooting any roof-related issues that may arise.
Dawn Espinosa – Office Manager/Finance
Dawn is primarily responsible for accounts payable and receivables as well as Human Resources. She is also involved with all facets of office operations including answering phones, generating contracts, invoicing and purchasing. Most importantly, Dawn is a customer service agent for GreatWay Roofing and responds to various customer requests and questions on a daily basis.
Rene Padilla- Project Foreman
Rene has been installing residential and commercial roofs for over 15 years. Rene’s primary role is to ensure the job meets the manufacturer’s specifications and uniform building code standards as well as making sure each customer is satisfied at every step of the roof installation process. Rene is also responsible for the crew’s safety while ensuring the customer’s property is kept in perfect order from the beginning to the end of each job.
Marcos Macias – Project Foreman
Marcos’ primary role is to ensure the job meets the manufacturer’s specifications and uniform building code standards as well as making sure each customer is satisfied at every step of the roof installation process. Marcos is also responsible for the crew’s safety while ensuring the customer’s property is kept in perfect order from the beginning to the end of each job.
